KENNINGTON COLLECTIVE BREAD IN THE SHOP
Every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, to start with, we will be stocking bread from The Kennington Collective, our local, ethical, community based supreme Pizza house.
Two loaves baked in their wood fired pizza ovens, YODA, White (Flours: Shipton Mill & Per Belle) & ARAGORN, Malted Rye (Flours: Shipton Mill And Stoates) are being bicycled to the shop by young Tommy Smith, intern at Roots and Shoots.
The master baker, young Dominic Huckett-Joseph, who hung around the square in his teenage years, learned much of his baking knowledge from John Townshend, the erstwhile Kennington master baker. In fact Dominic is helping John set up his new venture in Hayling Island.
This represents a brand new collaboration between ourselves, Kennington Collective, and Roots and Shoots, the incredible local educational charity.
